“Build a better brain through art.”
Homeschool and after-school programs at Tina’s Carmel, Indiana studio.

A child’s brain must develop both logical and conceptual thinking for both personal and career success. My method of “cross-training the brain” is a logical step-by-step process of skill building and problem solving (left brain) to produce an individual, creative outcome (right brain). Tina has decades of success in brain-based learning and has taught all ages–from elementary to college level.

In this session, we’ll create a large composite showing the adventures of 2 kids in three different environments. They’ll use their imagination to draw and color the scenes, along with a short written description for each adventure. Lots of visuals to give them ideas. Plus we’ll do other drawings and paintings.
Examples of the process: Kids develop a creative outcome in a step-by-step process, solving problems and building technical skills along the way.
“Design/construct an architectural wall sculpture made of cardboard and mixed media.”
“Design a room interior with painting and collage.”
Decades of success in the arts
I have taught dance, art, and language skills to youth from elementary to college level. I retired from teaching high school art in Chicago, where I also created a dance team, directed the annual prom fashion show, organized student art exhibits, choreographed for cotillions, designed language skills courses, designed curricula, and offered after-school programs at various schools with my staff.
